Daily Draw: Whimsical Tarot ~ Death

This deck, based on fairy tales, features Sleeping Beauty on the Death card. While she was under a spell, it is a good representation of a type of Dead Man can look around and see many people sleepwalking through life, a sort of living death. They notice nothing, believe nothing, are not passionate about anything, they just exist until true Death takes them. What a terrible waste of the greatest gift we are given, life.

I'm reminded by this card to Wake Up! Each day is precious, each day offers the potential for joy and wonder~Do not be a Dead Man Walking.

"In a utilitarian age, of all other times, it is a matter of grave importance that fairy tales should be respected." ~ Charles Dickens 1812-1870

This week's deck is the Whimsical Tarot by Dorothy Morrison, Illustrated by Mary Hanson-Roberts, and published by U.S. Games. Something light before we go to the Halloween Tarot next week, followed by the Tarot of the afraid, be very afraid.
