Daily Draw: Tarot of the Stars ~ 6 of Cups
Since 1909 this card is usually shown with one of the figures having two faces. Indicating we can continue to do what we have done, with the same results; or we can turn our face to a different path with fresh experiences, gaining new knowledge that will help guide us to better results.
I'm reminded by this card that just because things have always been done a certain way is no indicator that they must be done that way. An example? Yesterday our president signed into law one of the biggest bills ever passed by congress. In Denver Colorado. Not in front of a curtain in Washington D.C. surrounded by yes men and cameras. Any other president in history could have been out and about taking the pulse of the nation...but did they? And nothing ever changed. At least today we have hope for change, but we must change also.
Sometimes it is better to try something a different way because without realizing it we've changed over time. An example? Yesterday I got an inappropriate comment on a blog...the tired old "die you bitch, everyone hates you blahdieblahblah". Ten years ago I might have been bothered; yesterday I laughed out loud, deleted it, and said a prayer for the small cold soul that needs to express its anger in that manner. And forgot about it until this double faced 6 of Cups came up. Bless change and growth~
