Daily Draw: Grail Tarot, Templar Vision ~ 10 of Swords
Very interesting take on a card which generally brings bad tidings; this Templar while wounded himself, is still able to walk to safety, carrying the swords of his fallen companions.

Grief shows in a million different ways, and I can testify that it shows differently on the same individual with repeated losses. And there is pre-grief too, when we know someone we love and value is obviously going soon. The shock to the system is enormous however the loss comes. We bleed on the inside in many places for a long time. Better to express our grief, however that is, than to hold it in and suck is going to come out someway anyway.

I'm reminded by this card loss is part of life and teaches us many lessons.

"It's so curious: one can resist tears and 'behave' very well in the hardest hours of grief. But then someone makes you a friendly sign behind a window, or one notices that a flower that was in bud only yesterday has suddenly blossomed, or a letter slips from a drawer... and everything collapses." ~ Sidonie-Gabrielle Colette 1873-1954
