Daily Draw: Bosch Tarot ~ Emperor

So much power, so many options...

I'm reminded by this card that much power can also severely limit options. Everything he says is picked over for nuance and shading, each action is judged and rejudged. Thanks but no thanks, I can't see any amount of pros outweighing the cons.

"He who controls others may be powerful, but he who has mastered himself is mightier still." ~ Lao Tzu 600BC-531BC

  1. I couldn't agree more! It's like the cult of celebrity, too. I saw a documentary a few years back where someone went into schools and asked kids what they wanted to be when they grew up. I was horrified by how many said they wanted to be famous. Not that they wanted to be a rock star or a footballer, just famous. Definitely my idea of hell!

  2. I can't think of anyone who's had total power over a group of people (with no one else to answer to) who didn't become corrupt, with the exception of the Dalai Lama.

I welcome your thoughts. Good bad or indifferent; opinions are the lifeblood of conversation and I always learn something from a new point of view. Thank you for visiting, Sharyn
