Internal Vigilance

Daily Draw: Da Vinci Tarot ~ Page of Swords
Dimmi: What do I have to watch out for?

This query perhaps depends on whether I accent the have or the for. Which ever, the book recommends eternal vigilance which suits this Page.

I'm reminded by this Page of our fragility and optimism. Against all odds we hope this town will be different, this job will be different, this promise will be kept. We allow the environment to let us down because we forget to remember past actions for and against and by us...which allows the same mistakes to be repeated. We don't need to carry a grudge, or feel defeated, but we do need to learn from experience before we can move on or up.

"The most vigilant self-criticism of course is necessary, but the time comes when the artist must tell himself he is good or he will go under." "~ Gerald Moor 1889-1987

  1. It is difficult to have hope, make plans and take action, without letting your happiness be dependent on the outcome of those plans and actions. Expectations can be tricky...

  2. well said sycamore tree - when i see the page of swords i tend to want to turn my head away, i am full of expectations - wanting, wanting, wanting, and only now (nearly 50) learning how not be married to outcomes. Much of life spent in a fantasy world! Sharyn seems to "get" what it is to be human in the real world. I like that.

I welcome your thoughts. Good bad or indifferent; opinions are the lifeblood of conversation and I always learn something from a new point of view. Thank you for visiting, Sharyn
