Alice had seated herself on the bank of a little brook, with the great dish on
her knees, and was sawing away diligently with the knife. 'It's very provoking!'
she said, 'I've cut several slices already, but they always join on again!'
'You don't know how to manage Looking-glass cakes,' the Unicorn remarked. 'Hand
it round first, and cut it afterwards.' Alice Through The Looking Glass, Chapter Seven
I'm reminded by this card freely given, given with love, given unconditionally seem to be concepts difficult to learn. Mostly we see give to get. It's hard to be perfect isn't it? The Unperfect, another of my tribes.
Deck of the week is The Wonderland Tarot, a collaborative effort of Christopher John Abbey, writer, and Morgana Abbey, artist. Based on the Lewis Carroll books Alice In Wonderland and Alice Through The Looking Glass. Published 1989 by U.S. Games Systems, and long out of print. The Suits are renamed Flamingo/Swords, Peppermill/Wands, Hat/Cups, Oyster/Coins. The minors aren't named on the card but simply numbered as in a playing card deck.
