Tower Graffiti

Daily Draw: Feng Shui Tarot ~ Tower

I chose this card instead of my normal fan and draw at random. It is a realistic yet optimistic Tower card rather than the norm of it all falls down. In the lower left we see the damaged and crumbling tower with the black clouds overhead, in the far distance bathed in light sits another tower, whole, untouched, with the pennant of residence bravely flying.

I'm reminded by the walled path between the two towers of living with breast cancer. The initial diagnosis when the world falls down and all the options seem black. And later hope and percentages beckon from the light. My mad monkey of the mind spends its days pounding up and down the path between them.  Of the monkey and the cancer, the monkey is by far the more exhausting of the two. And even a whole Tower is still...a Tower.

"It is not adversity that kills, but the impatience with which we bear adversity." ~ Ancient graffiti inside the Tower of London
