Influence Peddlers

Daily Draw: Buckland Romani Tarot ~ Chariot

The leader horse is larger and more powerful, with blinders. The smaller follower horse doesn't wear them. The type of flat cart they pull is incredibly easy to maneuver but the down side is if the horses aren't working in tandem it is all over the place.

This makes me think of influence. We all have people who trust us. People who believe what we say. Some lies influence by simple omission. Some lies are Munchausen-type, and can be spotted a mile off. They all make our cart wobble. But what of people of world influence, who when caught in a lie, just lie harder? Ah, the big horse with blinders. So focused on the goal and themselves their lives become one big cover-up. Until exposed and their cart goes over. Or we continue to support them, blinders on, believing the lies.

"People do not believe lies because they have to, but because they want to." ~ Malcolm Muggeridge 1903-1990

  1. Sometimes I think it is easier to pretend to believe the lie instead of admitting we were wrong.
Hope you are having a better day today and that the only worms you ate were of the fruity, gummy type yesterday. :)
