Here we see the male sluga/servant of Wands who has made a committment to do or complete something and he is sincerely and deeply concerned he isn't up to it. He has his figurative project, the wand, in a death grip.
I admire this Page. Number one because he has taken on the project or had it forced upon him, and number two because he will likely complete it and then stand up for the next one although he will have the same concerns again. He may be 'just' a page, a servant, but he will be the best one possible.
