Venus in Cancer in the 4th House
Love, nurturing, close attachments. Or
Loathing, starving, controlling relationships.
I'm observer to the 2nd or reversed situation and wonder how they can stand it. One won't go because it is a free ride, the other, only by selling up and moving can free herself.
I'm reminded by this card I can look backward and see how the mutations in this relationship were hardened but I'll never understand why they thought they could live together. What I do know, we can love while not liking at all.

I am watching a niece go through a similar situation, except she has been looked at as a piece of property. I thought she would have been gone by now, but threats such as "I'm getting the dog and the the kids" and lack of a financial base has created enough anxiety to keep her in the marriage. As Tina says, "What's love got to do with it?" Nothing, obviously.
ReplyDeleteLike your post. I love the look of fetuses in utero. So cool. Great symbolism. There is almost a feeling of suffocation...but I suppose there is a sort of fine line between nurturing and suffocation in many relationships from child to spouse. Anyway, well...not something I plan to do but we all do it sometimes whether we like to admit it or not...
