Shall or Shant?

Daily Draw: Thoth Tarot ~ Strength/Lust

This card is based on the Apocalypse of St. John and Revelations and as such includes just about everything except the proverbial kitchen sink.

I'm reminded by this card, today I'm allowed or directed to be boisterous. Shall I or shan't I?
Oddly enough, shant was first known in the 1600's, was a fairly popular word from the late 1930's to early 1950's. It's current popular usage is as a descriptor for an explosive bowel movement. Which brings us right back to Revelations.

"a lot of people are making a living—they've been making a living for 2,000 years—preaching that we're in the last days." ~ Charles M. Schulz 1922-2000  Charles M. Schulz: Conversations

  1. I was taught (as a child) that Revelations was a veiled warning to the Christians about what the Roman Emperor Nero (the beast) had in store for them. Always amazes me the different ways people interpret things. But hey, if you're trying to pack your pews, I guess fear might be a way to do it.

I welcome your thoughts. Good bad or indifferent; opinions are the lifeblood of conversation and I always learn something from a new point of view. Thank you for visiting, Sharyn
