Sagebrush And Crags

Daily Draw: Llewellyn Tarot ~ 9 of Cups

Being humans we seem determined to mess with perfection. A golf course is better than a meadow, a billowing fountain is better than a natural creek.

I'm reminded by this card, there are two sides of the State of Washington. Divided by  the Cascade mountains, the west side wet and green jungle, the east side sagebrush and crags. All gorgeous, all created by time and nature. Can we not protect our nature from our nature?

"The earth is not a mere fragment of dead history, but living poetry like the leaves of a tree, not a fossil earth, but a living earth." ~ Henry David Thoreau 1817-1862

  1. Nature = natural resources to be used instead of sacred resources to be protected. One day the animal we'll be worrying about becoming extinct will be humans.
