Plate Of Life

Daily Draw: Shining Tribe Tarot ~ Place of Trees/Page of Wands

Building a sanctuary of and in the heart. Do we actively seek it? Do we fall across it accidentally? Do we nurture or abuse it?

I saw a program yesterday (Inspector Morse, Fat Chance) whose various threads were woven around the vicious circles of interests becoming passions becoming addictions, becoming weapons of punishment.  What strange trigger in our brain says keep going when the plate of life says enough?

"It is with our passions as it is with fire and water; they are good servants, but bad masters."  Aesop 620 BC - 560 BC

  1. Your post made me think of the Buddhist's idea of Hungry Ghosts. Tiny mouth, pencil neck and big belly make it impossible for them to get full. And that craving is endless.

I welcome your thoughts. Good bad or indifferent; opinions are the lifeblood of conversation and I always learn something from a new point of view. Thank you for visiting, Sharyn
