Science

Daily Draw: PetraK Tarot ~ Sun

The Sun tweaks a scientific turn today, wondering if our sun rotates a bigger sun. Not something current knowledge thinks probable, but the Sun, with our own solar system rotates through the Milky Way each 270 million years. Which led to the thought, surely our star system must change also.  Yes. Over a fleeting 10,000 years we will be able to note the recent, relatively speaking,  changes with out aid of telescopes.

I care not if humanoids remain in any form by then, but it makes me rather melancholy that the placement of amazing structures of the ancients to track the timing of equinox and solstice will also be moot. I'm reminded by this card of how slowly but finely the wheel of time grinds.

"Astronomy is the only progressive Science which the ancient world produced." ~ William Whewell 1794-1866
