The Old Home Place

Daily Draw: Legend the Arthurian Tarot ~ 10 of Cups

Corbenic, legendary home of the Grail. It is deemed otherworldly and travels where it needs or wants to be.

I'm reminded by this card how many ways we make a new space our own. Faceless motel room? Place the pillows, go get an extra if there are only three. Books/Ipad/phone on the nightstands. Laptop and deck on the desk for morning. Towel down for the dog's water bowl. Grooming stuff on the sink counter.  Hand crank set up to sew if we get in early enough. Cooler and dry goods box against wall by the door. Luggage rack opened, ditto suitcase. Takes maybe ten minutes and we are home again, home again, jiggity jig.

"He is the happiest, be he king or peasant, who finds peace in his home". ~ Johann Wolfgang von Goethe  1749-1832

  1. "be it ever so humble, there is no place like home." A hotel/motel is the home base for a shorter period of time. Have a great week and happy Sunday.
