Slept Through It

Daily Draw: Llewellyn Tarot ~ 4 of Swords

The 70s and 90s are so clear to me but the 80s are pretty much a blank except for our jobs. Weird that.

Perhaps I don't want to remember shoulder pads, big hair, disco balls, Tammy Faye, and have put it all to sleep in the back of my mind. It is better off there.

  1. That 80s list made me shudder; yes, I'll stuff it back in my unconscious file cabinet too.:)

  2. What a stunning depiction of the Four of Swords: The little door, the stairs, the lady in the tree... and of course our sleeping beauty...Love it!!

    1. I missed the door, thanks for pointing it out, I clicked on the card and it shows much larger. I like her doggy is taking a break also :)

  3. Yep in terms of culture I could have slept throught that whole decade and not missed anything of value. LIke you I don't remember much either apart from perms, white stilettos and fights outside discos that played awful music.

But the seventies and nineties are etched firmly on my memory - the sights, the sounds, the smells are still tangible to me.

    1. easy answer, lose your brain. People don't expect much of me anymore. It is kind of nice...it makes me seem brilliant when I do get around to spouting something

  5. Bev and Laylah, I'm surprised and happy to hear it isn't just me. I have vague memory of General Hospital and Lara and Luke. I had a neighbor that couldn't miss "her show" and often asked for a key to the apartment so she could watch it while I was at work. No...

    1. I watched General Hospital up to about the time that Luke raped Lara because he was so in love with her. Maybe they did end up together but I couldn't deal with the acceptance of the viewing audience because his love made it alright.

    2. I Know, was that bizarre or what? People, who knows?
