Daily Draw: Thoth Tarot ~ Emperor

Looks a bit set in his ways, probably dull ways. Don't be deceived, this Emperor represents sulphur, #16 on the periodic table. Where would we be without it? A lot hungrier, it is basic to fertilizer. It is the smell added to natural gas. It is part of majestic beauty in Yellowstone National Park. And a particularly unwholesome weapon of war.

I'm reminded by this card, accepting what we perceive to be flat or basic about someone or something is a sad use of our brains and senses.

  1. Like so many thing sulphur just is. it is what we do with it which makes it good or bad.

    1. I think that is what they used when I was 13 coming back from the dead zone. Forgot all about that. Rob's dad used a bunch of it seeding the water frontage in front of a lake cabin they had for awhile. Getting rid of an invasive weed. Poor lake may still have side effects...

    1. Great word, probably another reason his life might be a bit boring. :) Snow here for the first time of the season. We haven't even had a frost yet!
