Peas and Soil

Daily Draw: New Earth Tarot ~ Page Coins/Child Mirrors

This deck is one of optimism, suggesting with this Page that beginning and leaving unfinished projects is part of educating our mental palate how to do and be better.

I'm reminded by this card to wonder where the line in the sand is. What is a project to a six year old? Legos? Color books, puzzles? Is a child excused from clean up?  Boredom with a project or outgrowing it and walking away isn't the problem, it is understanding the consequences.

"The sower may sow his peas crookedly: the peas make no mistake, but come up and show his line. - Ralph Waldo Emerson

To the peas and soil it means nothing. But what does it mean to the child?

  1. What does it mean to the child? Maybe a good lesson is that it is okay to color outside of lines sometimes.

    1. ah, the best lesson of all, and one we often come to when it is too late to matter

  2. Maybe the lesson comes when the tide washes away his work.
