Delve

Daily Draw: Da Vinci Enigma Tarot ~ 4 of Swords/Air

Dimmi: What rest, space, or growing room is needed?

These look like disembodied arms at first glance but they are cupping the belly, like a woman pregnant or carrying a baby.

I'm reminded by this card, there is more to the story than what we glean superficially or supposing, if we'd slow down and delve.

"I suppose you think that persons who are as old as your father and myself are always thinking about very grave things, but I know that we are meditating the same old themes that we did when we were ten years old, only we go more gravely about it." ~ Henry David Thoreau 1817-1862)

  1. "slow down and delve." If only we weren't always in a hurry (real or imagined)

    1. It is a difficult action to take, the world hurries us, but why am I worried about falling behind? In the end we are all in the same place...I don't want to be there saying I should've ...

  2. As time goes on, more is discovered about the intelligence in the digestive tract. Those 'gut' feelings are more than just intuition. I like the hands holding and protecting, gestating life or oneself.

  3. Really? I'll probably spend the day looking at my navel now :)
We have to surrender our VW we were driving last fall, to VW today. Because of their diesel cheat thing.I'm sad enough to cry and mad enough to chew nails. 1/2 a million cars, going to the crusher..

    1. I read on all the VW recalls. More stuff choking up free space on Mother Earth.

  4. Those hands reminded me of a guided meditation that asked us to find the most tense place in our body and the most relaxed place - mine was in my hands!
