Burdened

Daily Draw: Legacy of the Divine Tarot ~ 10 of Wands

This gentleman who looks suspiciously like Professor Snape is crawling through what we call dog-hairs. He may make it but when he stands up his load will pull him over on his back. So why is he doing what he is doing, the way he is doing it?

I'm reminded by this card of unrealistic expectations and perfectionism. Much of what we worry about the most never comes to happen; and if we'd just get on with the job at hand rather than think it to death, we'd free up both physical and mental hours every day.

"We can easily manage if we will only take, each day, the burden appointed to it. But the load will be too heavy for us if we carry yesterday's burden over again today, and then add the burden of the morrow before we are required to bear it." ~ John Newton 1725-1807
