At The Tiller

Daily Draw: Victorian Romantic Tarot ~ Temperance

I drew Temperance last Monday; if you look at both cards you will see they are wildly dissimilar yet oddly alike. Being temperate is much the same if you stop to think about it. Someone wealthy might consider being temperate cutting back to spending only $10,000.00 a month; our move in the direction of creating no garbage is comparatively speaking the same action.

This card reminds me being temperate means steering my own boat and not comparing my journey to where someone else might be going. Doesn't matter, I can only effect balance in my own life.

"If a man does not know what port he is steering for, no wind is favorable to him." ~ Seneca 3 BC-65 AD

The deck I'm using this week is the Victorian Romantic standard edition, last used here July 2007. I also have the gold edition. This edition was published in 2006 by Magic Realist Press in Prague, Czech Republic. They are many deck owners favorite press as their decks are so unique.
