Hi-Ho Hi-Ho

Daily Draw: Bruegel Tarot ~ 7 of Coins

It is off to work we go hi-ho. I can't decide if this is sowing time or reap time...sheaved hay going into the barn loft, bags of wool being carted in, grape vines being groomed, trees being pruned, ground being tilled and seed being sown. Each figure has a job and is getting right to it, a healthy community at work.

I'm reminded by this card of what I understand the Japanese factory work model to be, everyone is trained to do everyone's task. It's a pretty good idea, but I wonder how far that goes. Is it a constant revolving situation? Because where does pride in work and the inner satisfaction of knowing how to do a job and doing a job you like, and doing it really well come in? I've had jobs where I lept from bed because I loved going to work, and a couple of jobs where throwing up was part of the day because I dreaded my workplace/co-workers/work so much. These figures seem to know what they are doing, know their place in the cosmos is important to the whole...and that is priceless knowledge in our hearts and minds.

"The really happy people are those who have broken the chains of procrastination, those who find satisfaction in doing the job at hand. They're full of eagerness, zest, productivity. You can be, too." ~ Norman Vincent Peale
