Life Is A Fish Fry According To Bruegel

Daily Draw: Bruegel Tarot ~ Knight of Coins

This guy is pretty old to still be a knight and according to this image he makes his living in a fish eat fish world and his income is chicken feed.

The 2010 census claims 308,400,408 U.S. citizens. That's wrong by at least 2, we haven't been counted since we moved here twenty years ago. The Internal Revenue Service claims just 5% of the population is rich, who knows what their guidelines are...my rule of thumb is anyone who is ten pounds lighter than me or ten dollars richer shouldn't be complaining. Which all shows the world hasn't much moved on or up since Bruegel's day, there are still too many mouths to feed and all of us looking out for number one.

"Because the world is so faithless, I go my way in mourning." ~ Pieter Bruegel 1525 - 1569

The deck this week is the 2003 Bruegel Tarot from Lo Scarabeo last used here in 2007. The inspired artwork by Guido Zibordi Marchesi is based on Bruegel the Elder 1526-1569 and influenced by Hieronymus Bosch 1450-1516. Rich in Medieval meaning and full of fish...try it, you'll like it! Lo Scarabeo decks and kits are distributed by Llewellyn Worldwide in the USA.
