Living Low

Daily Draw: Gummy Bear Tarot
Fool and Ace of Coins

Two cards fell out today, A fool and his money are soon parted. Play with abandon, weep in leisure.

From Judith Briles fact files:

"Is being poor really a concern for today's woman? You bet. Government statistics show that for every 100 women and men who reach 65, only two are financially independent. How do the rest survive? By relying on relatives, the government, friends, or working until they die. What an unfortunate and seemingly unnecessary prospect."

I'm reminded by these cards of my own worry worry worry refrain here. I will congratulate my fellow took a hammer to the head to wake them up but for the 28th month in a row credit card spending dropped. Of course this frightens government and business because our economy is based on spending everything you get rather than financial responsibility but tough noogies on them. The government needs the same hammer.

- Wendy Morgan

"What some people mistake for the high cost of living is really the cost of living high." - Doug Larson
