FOOLed Again

Daily Draw: Merryday Tarot ~ Fool/Wizard

In Poole's tarot vision the Fool really is carried or working his/her way through the major Arcana. And to emphasize that motion, her Fool is also the Wizard (see the second figure behind the Fool?) and the card is numbered both zero and twenty two.

I'm reminded by this card we can be both Fool and Wizard, I was there this morning. I forgot one of the important caveats of abandoned puppy mill dog training which is never forget. So I got puppy mill behavior rather than the young gentlemen behavior they and I have worked so hard for. Serves me right, a real Wizard would never forget. And the only magic I have is natural not otherworldly.

This week's deck is the Merryday Tarot, sometimes called Merry Day. Louisa Poole is the artist and author of the two part companion book, one part on personal numerology, the second half covers each card of the deck and why she renamed or revisioned some of the cards. Long out of print, but the deck is still reasonably priced on the secondary market, the book is another story.
