Self Examination

Daily Draw: Guardians of Wisdom Tarot ~ Hermit

Self examination. Some refer to it as navel watching which I think implies self absorption. Well the one can lead to the other certainly, we probably all know that type of person. As long as we don't have to depend on them for a mental hand up, what does it matter?

I'm reminded by this card, once again, of balance. We all need to look inward occasionally. What makes us really tick, what are our hot buttons and why are they. What lifts and inspires us. The real truth of how we feel and see the others within our daily orbit. After all, honesty within ourselves is a good thing. Honest.

"We've all heard that the unexamined life is not worth living, but consider too that the unlived life is not worth examining." ~ Julia Cameron 1948-

  1. Self-examination is good, but taking what you learned and bringing it to daily life is even better. :)

  2. I love this deck, Sharyn. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts about the Truth card.

  3. Good point Sycamore, examination without action is pointless.

Zanna, it is everything people complain about in decks; busy art, small objects, sameish coloring, keywords up the yingyang, renamed or unnamed majors, sort of mushy suits...
But I too really like it, probably because I love working with oracles so much. I sure wouldn't trim it though :)

thank you both for stopping by, Sharyn

I welcome your thoughts. Good bad or indifferent; opinions are the lifeblood of conversation and I always learn something from a new point of view. Thank you for visiting, Sharyn
