Muddy The Water

Daily Draw: PetraK Tarot ~ 7 of Swords

Futility. Thy secret name is self-obfuscation.
  1. To totally obscure with non-germane information in a verbose manner, with the intent to provide a non-answer, and provide total befuddlement.
I'm reminded by this card of how often we clasp a futile situation to our hearts and just keep on driving the swords in, often falling on them to be sure they are up to the hilt and make us seem the victim. Better to look inward and recognize what personal boogers need to be speared and yanked out.

"When we are tired, we are attacked by ideas we conquered long ago." ~ Friedrich Nietzsche  1844-1900

  1. It looks like a tree made of swords (that nothing will grow on). And it looks like they are all in a bottle (like those model ships).

  2. I thought ship in a bottle too. Which is a fine analogy of the self talk that goes round and round with no exit signs

  3. Thanks lady"s I hadn't noticed that. Because The seven of sword it often read negative. I sometimes like to see it as an opportunity to save yourself, doing things your own way

  4. This deck is Thoth based Ellen, and often diverges from the unsymbolic keywords for the RWS. The guy sneaking off with the swords is only stealing from himself, not others. One of the problems reading intuitively with images. Oracles are much better for that :) Thanks for stopping by so regularly!
