New Skin

Daily Draw: Native American Tarot ~ Ace of Cups

Shedding our skin. We don't do it like snakes, all at once, we do it 24/7. 30,000 to 40,000 cells a minute, topping out at about nine pounds a year.  Yet the scars and beauty marks are still upon us.

I'm reminded by this card, humans shed their skin from the inside. We drop things that no longer meet our  needs or interests, and take up new ways, new rhythms, that fit better in the life of we.

"All change is not growth, as all movement is not forward." ~ Ellen Glasgow 1873-1945

  1. Change. The only thing constant is change. Those scars that remain just remind us how strong and resourceful we really are through all those changes. Happy Solstice.

  2. I wouldn't want to miss my scar on the outside as well as on the inside
    Happy Solstice!

  3. Hopefully we'll figure out what changes or good and what not so good before we get smacked in the head by our choices.
