I Used To Think I Thought

Daily Draw: Thoth Tarot ~ Priestess

If you were new to earth, pure, innocent, intuitive, what would you make of politics, religions, money? Slavery, war, addictions?

I'm reminded by this card it is difficult to uncolor our perceptions in order to achieve a new understanding. Many are based in childhood, influenced by environment or peers. We often don't recognize our leanings are not our own but inherited. We would be required to really bear down in order to sort out what we thought and what we think, in order to get distance between what we think we thought.

Our daily lives are all influenced by those six subjects. How often do you think what your thoughts really are? It is a small world, and our grain of sand counts.

  1. I forget to think about my thoughts during most of the day. But they are amazing to watch as they flow by in meditation... Makes me wonder how I ever sleep at night. :)

  2. I think there are not many thoughts which are entirely my own. It's strange to realize how much our way of thinking is influenzed from the outside. How free are we really?

  3. I think we will all show up in story similar to one of Tolkien's 'Middle Earth' sagas. Not Dungeons and Dragons, but Delusional Dunces. "Yet Hope Remains..."

I welcome your thoughts. Good bad or indifferent; opinions are the lifeblood of conversation and I always learn something from a new point of view. Thank you for visiting, Sharyn
