Daily Draw: Legend the Arthurian Tarot ~ 6 of Wands/Spears

I've been sitting here trying to think of anything I've done that could be termed well earned, caused change for the better, conquest and advancement.

I'm having trouble coming up with a 'win', probably because I don't have a competitive bone in my body. Hummm, Pretty exciting to get my lifetime key from weight watchers. But I continue to gain and lose the same 30 pounds over 5 year periods. Mastering clutch and stick was more an end to heart pounding terror rather than satisfaction. Carrying 8 dinner plates in one hand and arm was a pretty awesome skill.

I'm reminded by this card, not many of us have rated a victory parade with lots of horns and horses. What we can hold as precious are the successes personal to us. We just need to pull those memories forward more often. We are each so incredibly special in our own right.

  1. How about long-term friendships? You've got some of those. :D And don't discount learning how to drive a stick-shift; I had many mentors and they all gave up on me!

    1. I was counting all three of those things as wins:)
Learning to ride a bike in my 20's was a good win.
Taking on one learn something new each year is a huge win, but I just can't do it anymore, my mind is broken.
Figuring out how to get our laptops to work again when a kitten has slept on them all night is a big win :) We learned to just close them. We have lots of wins we don't give ourselves enough credit for, truly

  2. I can think of at least one "Well Done Sharyn" you rescued your puppies that you mentioned on Ellen's post. Saved a couple of lives you did. And reading your posts for years there are others that I can think of. Give yourself a pat on the back and have a cup of cocoa with marshmallows.

  3. Perhaps you should ask Rob if he can think of a few Wins. I am sure he can come up with a lot more than you do.
Still being happily married after so many years is a great win in my book :)

I welcome your thoughts. Good bad or indifferent; opinions are the lifeblood of conversation and I always learn something from a new point of view. Thank you for visiting, Sharyn
