Daily Draw: Cathar Tarot ~  8 of Swords

Juice of the poppy.  A maesters first choice. And Hippocrates. And Rabâ-ša-Marduk. Pain. And opiates. Like horse and carriage. But which comes first?

I'm told prescription Oxycodone can run $50-80.00 a pill on the street. Crazy. A fentanyl tab is $5.00. Again. Crazy. I'm told employees in pot factories bring two gallons of milk to work and gulp it down in a shift just to be able to stand up straight and work. It is a funny old world. Funny sad, not funny ha-ha.

And the rest of us just drive on by, impervious to horse and carriage both.

  1. As someone who works with addicts/alcoholics, it blows my mind to see how easily such drugs can be obtained from a doctor (even when they know someone's history).

  2. I just returned from Florida visiting a couple of friends that just moved down there in December. They live around the Estero - Bonita Springs area. Just inland say 10 miles there is a community that is extremely poor, so poor they live 15 miles from the Gulf of Mexico and have never been to the sea. To poor and too illiterate to travel. Some of those golf communities have billboards out front stating homes $800,000-the millions. Sad that people can't scale back and get some kids to the sea.

  3. Hey there! Do you use Twitter? I'd like to follow
you if that would be ok. I'm absolutely enjoying your blog and look forward
    to new posts.

    1. I don't have time to do other social platforms but thank you for asking, and dropping by, Sharyn

I welcome your thoughts. Good bad or indifferent; opinions are the lifeblood of conversation and I always learn something from a new point of view. Thank you for visiting, Sharyn
